Richardson Hitchins said on social media today that he wants to fight Devin Haney in Saudi Arabia if he no longer fights against Theofimo Lopez. Hitchins (19-0, 7 food) must first have his title defense of his IBF Light Welterweight title on June 14 against George Kambosos Jr.

“If Teo no longer fights against Haney after I am up Kambozo, I will fight against Haney in Saudi. XCall Devin Haney out.
Haney vs. Hitchins marketability
It is doubtful whether a battle between Haney and Hitchins would be a marketable event. Despite holding the IBF title, Hitchins is not well known enough by casual box fans for a fight between him and Haney to sell on PPV. Haney is likely to reject a fight against Hichins and regard it as a high-risk game with a low reward.
The only way it would make sense is if Turki Alalshikh was willing to finance the fight. It would be an interesting battle for a co-function on Alcatraz, but certainly not the capital letter.
Hitchins comes before himself because he still has Kambosos to beat. After that, Richardson has his IBF -sheltered battle, which is due to Subriel Matias. Unless Hitchins Matias can pay a step aside, he will have to defend next against him. He has been avoiding Matias for centuries, and now he can no longer do it because he is his mandatory.
Haney Lopez Fight Drama
Haney (32-0, 15 COs) hoped to fight on Lopez on August 16, but the collision was in jeopardy after The Aofimo was fired by Turki Alalshikh yesterday. It is believed that this would finance the battle.
Yesterday Devin posted on Xand said, “I will handle him (Theofimo),” and Turki Alalshikh marked. The fight is unlikely to take place with Theofimo’s insults about Alalshikh on social media. Today’s trolling of Turki by Lopez took the cake and made him gay jokes. The post may have burned the bridge for theofimo with Turki permanently.
