Manchester City maintained their relentless pursuit of the Premier League title with a commanding 3-0 win over Fulham, capped by a prolific first-half display at the Etihad Stadium.
The Premier League fixture on February 11, 2026 saw second-placed Manchester City host a Fulham looking to improve their mid-table position. City, with 47 points from 24 games, were looking to continue their formidable record at home against a Fulham side currently in tenth.
The locals wasted little time asserting their dominance. Antoine Semenyo broke the deadlock in the 24th minute, firing an accurate shot past the Fulham goalkeeper. His first strike set the tone for City’s relentless attack.
Just six minutes later, Manchester City doubled their lead. Semenyo turned provider, assisting Nico O’Reilly who confidently slotted the ball home in the 30th minute. Fulham’s struggles grew when Joachim Andersen was booked a minute later for a cynical foul.
Erling Haaland then joined the gulf, extending City’s lead just before the break. Phil Foden provided a perfectly weighted assist, allowing Haaland to guide his shot past the keeper in the 39th minute. Bernardo Silva was booked for a tackle in the 41st minute.
Going into the second half with a three-goal cushion, Manchester City tried to control the tempo. Fulham, meanwhile, needed a dramatic shift in momentum to salvage anything from the game, but their attacking efforts were muted.
Pep Guardiola made a change in the second half, bringing off goalscorer Erling Haaland for Omar Marmoush in the 46th minute. There were more substitutions around the hour mark as both teams revamped their lineups.
Despite the lack of more goals, the second half saw a more physical game. Phil Foden received a yellow card in the 66th minute for fouling. City brought on Rayan Cherki and Nico for Foden and Rodri in the 71st minute to maintain control.
Fulham brought in a number of players, including Harry Wilson and Harrison Reed, in the hope of a late surge. However, Manchester City’s defense remained resolute. Yellow cards at the end for City’s Nico and manager Pep Guardiola added a touch of drama to an otherwise game.
Manchester City’s statistical superiority was clear, with an expected goals balance (xG) of 1.47 compared to Fulham’s 1.04. City registered 13 shots in total, with five on target, maintaining 56% of possession. Fulham managed 12 shots, with three on target.
This win strengthens Manchester City’s title credentials, moving them closer to top spot. Fulham’s defeat extends their poor record against City as they continue to struggle against the league’s elite. Antoine Semenyo won man of the match with his goal and assist.
