Chicago-may be a year of Ryder Cup in New York, but we are also less than 18 months away from the second largest Golf Golf event taking over the second city. And in the wake of that event at Medinah Country Club in September 2026, Team USA has named his captain: Brandt Singeker.
Singeker was announced on Tuesday, as was his counterpart, Geoff ogilvyAn Australian who will lead the international side. Both players are in the mid-40-Sneedeker, 44, and Ogilvy, 46 and remain closely in the modern game. Singeker has made nine starts at PGA Tour this season, while Ogilvy works mainly as a Golf Course Architect and host.
“Representing my country in the team competition has been one of the highlights of my PGA Tour career,” Singeker said in a press release, “and I will rely on those experiences to ensure that we are prepared and ready to compete against what I know will be a unified and determined international team.”
Singenker’s name may come as a surprise as the captain typically avoided the big champions. Singeker also has limited experience as an auxiliary captain; He assisted Captain Jim Furyk in the 2024 presidents Cup and will play the same role in Keegan Bradley’s Ryder Cup team this year this year Publication in Bethpage Black.
