Here’s how much each player did

No one, says Collin Morikawa, needed to pull him “off the ledge.”

But a conversation helped.

Came on Friday at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Things had felt disappointing Morikawa after a missed cut in Sony Open began his year. He had decided on a tremendously promising season, where he worked in hopes of ending a two-year winless drought.

But coach Rick Sessinghaus had an opinion:

Go back to who you were when you first turned pro. Don’t think about the top 20.

Focus on winning.

“When he told me that yesterday,” Morikawa said Saturday, “it was that change of mentality today. I wanted to go out and win, win the weekend, win the tournament. Now we’ve given ourselves a chance.

“It’s a little bit of a mindset adjustment and without him telling me that, who knows what I would have shot today. But I’m here to win. When you finish 30th, 15th, third, at the end of the day, like I want to win. I have to put that mindset at the beginning of the day, at the beginning of the week, and now I think we give ourselves a chance at least tomorrow.”

With that, here is the complete payout breakdown for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. The total purse is $20 million.
