Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten, this year’s Wimbledon champions, defeated Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski 7-5, 6-3 to win their first Nitto ATP Finals doubles title on Sunday.

The Finnish-British team ended Salisbury’s bid for a third straight title after losing to Salisbury and Skupski in the round-robin stage. Salisbury won the ATP Finals titles in 2022 and 2023 with Rajeev Ram and did not qualify last year. His streak ends at 14 games.
“It feels pretty amazing,” Heliovaara said. “I’ve been to the semifinals twice. There’s something good about Turin. I’ve played this tournament three times: semi, semi, now I win. I can’t complain too much. I like the conditions inside. I definitely grew up here in Finland.”
“It’s really emotional to win the final event, the combination of all that hard work, all those kinds of hours on the road,” Patten said. “We have some time off coming up, which everyone is looking forward to.”
Salisbury and Skupski fell to 0-6 in ATP finals of the year.
