Hearn Fast-Tracks Ben Whittaker for WBC Silver Title Pray

Ben Whittaker (9-0-1, 6 COs), a new match room box, will fight for the vacant WBC Silver Light Heavyweight title for little well-known Benjamin Gavazi (19-1, 13 COs) on November 29 in Birmingham, England. The event will be shown Live on dazn.

Matchroom holds a press conference this Friday, October 17, in London to discuss the signing of a long -term agreement with their company by Olympic silver medalist Whittaker of 2020. In addition, the press conference will be used to talk about Ben’s fight against Gavazi on November 29 for the vacant WBC Silver 175-Pond title.

Benavidez fighting on the horizon

With Whittaker behind the WBC Silver Belt, the promoter Eddie Hearn puts him in the drive to challenge “the Mexican Monster” David Benavidez for his WBC light heavyweight belt. What a fight it would be.

Pressure fighter benavidez’s volume punch is about the smooth, smart movement of whittaker. It will be an interesting battle to see if Ben can neutralize the strengths of benavidez by moving and clicking him. There is no sense in Hearn waiting two to three years to make this game. Whittaker is at the top of his game, both in terms of mobility and defense, for him to fight benavidez. Waiting until Ben is in his thirties is not a good idea for Hearn.

Eddie Hearn’s Fast-Track plan

Matchroom was quickly located to get him in position to fight for a world title. It makes sense. He turned 29 on June 6, 2026 and cannot afford to be slowly brought by promoter Eddie Hearn if he wants to use his prime years in the sport.

Ideally, former Whittaker promoters, Boxxer, should have strengthened him against the high-ranking contenders to prepare him for a world title against WBC champion David Benavidez or IBF, WBA, and WBO champion Dmitry Biblical.

Whittaker’s Olympic pedigree

With Ben’s Olympic experience, the three-year Pro Whittaker doesn’t have to be like other fighters coming from the amateur rankings.

During his seven -year professional career, the German Gavazi, 30, faces uncertainty in Germany. This is his first step against a world-class opponent, with a WBC whittaker. It can end badly for Gavazi.

Learn from the Cameron Trek

Whittaker arrives on April 20, 2025 with a second round about Liam Cameron in their re -broadcast. In their first fight, Whittaker struggled with the pressure that the Betterbiev-Esque Cameron applied to him on October 12, 2024.

The fight finished in sixth place when Whittaker overturned from the ring after leaning against the ropes while holding on to Cameron. Whittaker could no longer be injured during the fall, and the competition was subsequently decided a sixth round technical draw.
