Tim Bradley says he is concerned about Terence Crawford in this battle with Canelo Alvarez because he knows Bud’s stubborn mindset and toughness. Bradley believes that Crawford (41-0, 31 COs) will want to trade with the United Super Middleweight Champion Canelo (62-2-2, 39 COs) and can be cut.
Trade hazards
Tim points out that Canelo has been “adapted” to the 168 pound division, after fighting there since 2020, and he is as strong as a bull. If Crawford starts succeeding with Canelo, he will not be able to take such shots. He is not another Gennadiy Golovkin who stood in the bag in his fight with Canelo.
Although Terence is a strong fighter, he is not at the level of a GGG that can take Alvarez’s shots for 12 rounds without reducing sawdust. However, it will not work for Crawford to try to walk after a win by following the Mayweather blueprint. The fight will be staged in Las Vegas, not Omaha or Riyadh, where he can be happy with the judgment.
