Indian fast bowler Akash Deep is known for his bowling skills. But Akash is also a skilled batter and can deliver some voluptuous blows with the bat. When he came into bat in India’s first innings in Chennai, he was expected to score some quick runs.
But it was something other than the batting and bowling that got Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir laughing in the Indian dressing room during the Chennai Test.
Akash Deep was bowled by a weak throw from Hasan Mahmood
A few balls away from his dismissal, Akash Deep was bowled by a merciless delivery from Bangladesh quick Hasan Mahmood. Akash was seen clutching his waist and immediately sought a doctor.
Meanwhile, Hasan Mahmud approached him and apologized. Shakib Al Hasan who was seen with these two was also seen laughing and enjoying the moment of light.

While Akash Deep was attended by the physios, the Indian also started laughing after Virat Kohli spoke about something. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir and Shubman Gill were all sitting together laughing.

Akash Deep showed off his batting prowess with two effortless boundaries from fast bowler Hasan Mahmood either side of the wicket. When he finally tried to play an aggressive shot, he was dismissed for 17 off 30 balls by Taskin Ahmed. The 27-year-old football player scored 4 goals during the strike.
Rishabh Pant was also hit by a wild toss
Meanwhile, this was not the first time that an Indian was bowled by a wild delivery from a Bangladeshi player in this innings. On Day 1, Rishabh Pant was also hit by a misfire and he clashed with opposition wicketkeeper Litton Das.
Coming into the match, India posted 376 in the first innings thanks to a magnificent hundred from Ravichandran Ashwin and valuable fifties from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja. Hasan Mahmood took five wickets in a brilliant bowling display.
In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out for just 149. The visitors could not cope with the Indian fast bowling attack and surrendered. No Bangladeshi player managed to score a fifty, with Shakib Al Hasan leading the way with 32. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took 4-50, while Siraj, Akash Deep and Jadeja took two wickets each.
