The 25-year-old England National Cricket Team batting sensation Harry Brooke created a new world record after his stunning performance in the fifth and final ODI of the ongoing series against the Australian National Cricket Team at the County Ground in Bristol on Sunday, September. 29.
Harry Brooke is currently one of the best new-era batsmen in the world and has been handed England’s lead after Jos Buttler was ruled out of the match against Australia through injury.
Brooke was under immense pressure in his first full-time stint as England captain as Australia thrashed England in the first two matches, in which he scored just 39 and 4 runs.
However, Harry Brook made sure to bounce back strongly from the setback as he scored 110* and 87 runs in the next two matches, playing a vital role in England leveling the series 2-2.

England lost to Australia’s spinners – Nasser Hussain on Harry Brook’s England
England put up 309 runs on the board and were bowled out in 49.2 overs as the England National Cricket Team faced a slump. Speaking about this, the former captain of the England team Nasser Hussain said that the English batting failed against the Aussie spinners.
“England fell apart for Australia’s spinners,” Nasser Hussain said on Sky Sports. They landed on a flyer, the moment the ball had speed, the ball disappeared everywhere. But then it fell apart. The moment the spinners got him down outside the off stump, they changed their attack and Steve Smith changed his attack. England will think it should have been 350 plus.”
Nasser Hussain also said Harry Brook & Co. were a little too aggressive with the bat, opening the door for Australia to make breakthroughs. He elaborated:
“I don’t think they should have gone harder but I understand why they did. We were saying in the commentary box that this is a difficult place to spin.
“Probably what you don’t adjust to is when you see him spin, the 50-over takes too long, we need to get a partnership. England have opened the door for Australia.”
Nasser Hussain also criticized Australia’s tactics of introducing Mitchell Starc despite the spinners doing well in the match. He said:
“Starc was the wrong choice. The mismatch between pace and pace today is very different. Spin would have been below 7. England were 8-107. The brain has been trained for ten years (to bring back Starc) but I would have stuck with spin.”
