The Los Angeles Dodgers won the 2024 World Series by defeating the New York Yankees in five games.
With the offseason still underway, free agency is underway with plenty of star players to sign with new teams.
One player who will test free agency is Dodgers pitcher Jack Flaherty, who was acquired from the Detroit Tigers during the 2024 regular season.
Although Flaherty seems to love it in his hometown of Los Angeles, analyst Harold Reynolds says he thinks Flaherty would be a great fit with the Boston Red Sox.
“I think Boston is on that track because they like the breaking pitch, they like guys who throw that hook more,” Reynolds said, via MLB Network.

Reynolds notes that Flaherty used his breaking ball much more than he did in previous years with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Flaherty appeared to be a rental by the Dodgers for a playoff run after multiple injuries to their starting rotation.
Reynolds apparently believes the Red Sox gravitate toward pitchers who use their breaking pitches more often, rather than pitchers who try to beat hitters with speed.
In the regular season, Flaherty was 13-7 with a 3.17 ERA and 194 strikeouts in 162.0 innings combined with the Tigers and Dodgers.
Along with Flaherty, there are other big-name starters hitting free agency, including Blake Snell, Max Fried and Corbin Burns.
It will be interesting to see if the Dodgers push to keep Flaherty or if he signs elsewhere.
