Indian National Cricket Team all-rounder Hardik Pandya is taken to the cleaners by Vijay Shankar during the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2024-25 match between Baroda and Tamil Nadu. The match between the teams continues at the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

Tamil Nadu striker Vijay Shankar set the scene on fire in the ongoing game against Baroda. The all-rounder put in a relentless effort with the bat and made sure his team got a big score on the board in the deciding game.

Vijay Shankar’s best came over Pandya, where he took the Indian all-rounder clean. The Tamil Nadu batsman made sure to bring out the best with the bat and hit three sixes against the Baroda star.

Shankar hit a massive first six in the region over long on and followed it up with the same effort but this time over long on. If that wasn’t enough, he landed squarely, giving Hardik Pandya a taste of his own medicine.

Shankar played an impressive hand for his team as he batted at 5. The all-rounder finished with an unbeaten 42 runs from 22 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 190 and also hit 4 sixes in his innings. His powerful knock took his team to a total of 221/6.

Apart from Shankar, N Jagadeesan (57), Baba Indrajith (25), Boopathi Kumar (28) and skipper Shahrukh Khan (39) played decently. Based on a collective effort with the bat, Tamil Nadu put up a big score on the board.

Pandya did not perform well with the ball. The all-rounder bowled three overs and scored 44 runs. Lukman Meriwala was the pick of the players scoring 3 goals for Baroda.

Shankar hitting a big six will be a big boost for Chennai Super Kings. The all-rounder was bought by the five-time champions for INR 1.2 crore. He would hope to continue his good form and help Chennai Super Kings lift their sixth league title.
