Beatriz Haddad Maia will take several months to rest and recover after a grueling 2025 season.
The Brazilian, ranked no.40 in bachelors and no.33 in pairs, posted the news on her Instagram on Monday.

“I’m finishing my 2025 season just before the deadline so that I can support my body and mind for a longer period,” she wrote. “Make sure I will come back stronger and the best will come yet.”
The former world No.1 went 16-26 per season in the singles, going 2-6 against Top 20 and recording a better result in the Red Clay in Strasbourg, where she reached the semifinals. Haddada Maia went 6-4 to diplomas, reaching the 16th round at US Open.
