The San Diego Padres finished the 2024 season 93-69, good enough for second place in the NL West.

After winning their first postseason series against the Atlanta Braves in the wild-card round, the Padres fell to the world champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS.

One of the Padres’ utilitymen is testing free agency after the 2024 season and appears to be being pursued by several teams.

“Ha-Song Kim has drawn ‘a lot of interest’ in the early days of free agency,” MLB Network wrote in the X .

While the Milwaukee Brewers appear to be interested, the San Francisco Giants have the most interest in the 29-year-old.

Kim’s regular season numbers with the Padres in 2024 included a .233 batting average with 11 home runs, 47 RBI and a .700 OPS.

Kim has been with the Padres since 2021, after entering the league.

If he signs with the Giants, that would mean he would stay in the NL West.

Kim will have plenty of games against his former team to prove they made a mistake by not signing him.

The Brewers reside in the NL Central and may give Kim the best chance to make next season, as they have won the division three of the last four years.
