Gulbadin Naib shocks South Africa with Andile Phehlukwayo’s dramatic escape

Afghanistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Gulbadin Naib came with a brilliant presence of mind in the ongoing first ODI against South Africa National Cricket Team. The first of the three matches between the teams is currently being played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team has been everywhere South Africa National Cricket Team in the ongoing first ODI. Asked to field first, they put on a spectacular display of bowling and made a mockery of the opposition’s batting.

The bowlers in Fazalhaq Farooqi and Allah Ghazanfar destroyed South Africa’s batting line-up. The duo picked three wickets each and put the opposition back in the hunt at 36/6 without even crossing the 10-run mark with all the big names.

Losing 6 wickets quickly, the 7th wicket for South Africa came at a funny moment with the great presence of mind shown by Gulbadin Naib. The Afghanistan National Cricket Team all-rounder ran out to send his Proteas counterpart packing for a duck.

In the last ball of the 10th over, Allah Ghazanfar was haphazardly out of the crease after playing Andile Phehlukwayo. The ball wasn’t dead and Gulbadin Naib hit the bull’s eye to shock the South African when he saw the shot come out of the crease.

The Afghanistan National Cricket Team applied and Andile Phehlukwayo waited there for a while, hoping he would not be granted. But he had to walk. He was seen looking at the square-leg umpire and then walked out of the crease.
