How to add 10 yards to your drives
The best players in the world are extremely effective in their oscillations, so the increase of distance usually descends to strengthen. However, with the weekend fighters, their oscillations are rarely equally efficient, so getting a slightly more speed can be achieved through some simple shake changes.
Take for example Golftec Max Markel student. During his teaching with coach Brett Hahn, he learned how to better use his legs during his landing – and this helped him win 10 yards with his driver almost immediately.
“One great thing we want to see (we see) from the best players, like Rory Mcilroy, they use the legs very well,” Hahn says. “The exercise I like to use called a gathering jump.”
The exercise works as it sounds. During the transition, you want to feel crashing, and then as you approach the impact, you will be thrown out of the gathering.
“The more you push you to the ground, the more the earth pushes back and helps you create more strength,” Hahn says.
This “pushing back” from the ground is also known as the reaction forces on Earth, and is a key component that we see in all the longest players in the world. If you can include movement in your swing, you are sure you will get an easy distance.
