Great champion 24 times Novak Djokovic It is withdrawn from the next week’s Cincinnati Open.
The champion three times also withdrew from the event last year, and for the last time played the event in 2023, when he defeated Carlos Alcaraz in an epic final that was one of the best in tour history.
No reason has been quoted for his withdrawal, but it is thought to be unrelated to serious injury and he is expected to take his place in the equalizer of open men in the US, who begins to play on August 24.
The 38-year-old, the sixth ranked, will offer offers for his 25th record in New York. It is 392-54 Lifetime in Major, and 26-9 for the season.
