Gervonta Davis has been arrested for battery: domestic violence charges cloud Lamont Roach Rematch and Shakur Stevenson Mega-Fight prospects

WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis was reportedly arrested today for battery and domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his former girlfriend last month on June 15. Tank Davis was jailed in Miami in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Tank’s re -broadcast with Lamont Roach for August 16 is now in question.

ROACH REMATCH REMATCH in the jeopardy by arrest

It is still too early to say how Gervonta’s arrest will affect his re -broadcast with Lamont Roach. Some fans consider it a prelude to Tank Davis Weashering out of his risky rematch with Roach to avoid a loss in a second fight.

If Davis were to lose against Roach, he would ruin his chances of getting the Shakur Stevenson collision that Turki Alalshikh wanted. That battle is likely to pay a scholarship of mega millions to Tank Davis and put him in the upper crust of the mega rich.

Davis’s arrest: Mega-Fight Implications

There is so much money that Gervonta will get to fight against Shakur that it is difficult to understand the unprecedented wealth he will receive for what is essentially an easy struggle for him against the Jerry-Esque runner. All that disappears as the tank continues with the Rematch with Roach and go to school for a second time.

The way in which Lamont Davis has exceeded that battle can see that he would do it so easily again because he is on a different level than Davis skill. But if Tank can use its arrest today to turn out of the re -broadcast, his problems are solved. He can only wait for the outcome of Saturday’s Stevenson-Zepeda fight, and face Shakur as he comes out the winner. Stevenson is the favorite in that battle.

The two are supposed to fight next month on August 16 to clean up the controversy surrounding their previous fight on March 1, which ended in a controversial 12 round draw.

Fans are critical of how the referee handled the battle. Tank Davis took a knee in a delayed reaction after being beaten by Roach in the ninth round. Davis then gets up and walks to his corner, as if he stops, wiping his eyes through his coach.

All this took place without the tank asked for a timeout. The referee blew the knockout call by not counting it, and could not stop the fight when the tank walked away without a word, which looked like a classic ‘no mas’ move from him.
