Gautam Gambhir criticizes Azad for his remarks about Team India
Gambhir did not hold back when approached for comments. The Indian coach said the criticism was not even worth responding to and insisted the focus should continue on celebrating the players’ efforts. According to Gambhir, having such discussions immediately after a major sporting victory distracts from the dedication and sacrifice shown by the players throughout the tournament.
He emphasized that India’s victory is a proud moment for the entire country and should be celebrated without unnecessary controversy. Gambhir also emphasized that any statement that takes the conversation away from the achievements of the players risks diminishing the value of what they have achieved on the global stage.
