Former Pakistan National Cricket Team cricketer Tanveer Ahmed has picked on Indian National Cricket Team head coach Gautam Gambhir after the team faced New Zealand National Cricket Team in the three-match Test series. He said that this is Gambhir’s gift to the nation.
Gambhir’s tenure as the head coach of the team so far has not been what he wanted. One of the lowest points on his CV came today when India trailed New Zealand 3-0. It was a surprise because the team has never faced this at home.
Gautam Gambhir’s coaching has come under many scanners throughout the series.
Indian National Cricket Team looked clueless in all the three matches played in Bengaluru, Pune and Mumbai. Known to be good spin players, the Indian batsmen struggled against the slow bowlers and suffered massive collapses in all three games which saw them collapse and lose.
Gambhir’s training also came under the scanner a lot throughout the series. He was criticized by many experts for some of his decisions. He changed his batting order almost every game to maintain his left-right combination, but that didn’t work for him either.
Gambhir has faced a lot of criticism for his poor coaching and the latest to join the bandwagon is former Pakistan National Cricket Team Tanvir Ahmed. He mocked the head coach of the Indian National Cricket Team for the series defeat.
Gautam Gambhir finds out what happened to Tharoor Karney – Tanveer AHmed
Tanveer Ahmed credits New Zealand National Cricket Team for creating history. But Gambhir said he would understand the consequences of being arrogant. He made a statement on his Twitter account:
“History bana de newzealand ney India ko white wash kar key in India gift from gotham gambhir Pata chala Tharoor Karney ka kia haal hota ha (New Zealand made history by defeating India in India. Gautam Gambhir would have understood how it felt to be arrogant).”

Sunday was fantastic – Junaid Khan’s brutal dig in India
Not only Tanveer Ahmed, another cricketer of Pakistan National Cricket Team mocked the Indian National Cricket Team. He said today was a fantastic Sunday for him. He tweeted:
“Sunday was Awesome…”

One of the main factors behind India’s loss was the collapse of batting and their inability to chase down achievable targets. By 37, the Indian cap fell to spin, which in itself was the biggest thing, as Indian batsmen are generally touted as good spin players.
Gambhir, who has since been appointed as the head coach of the team, has not gone well. They first suffered a series defeat to Sri Lanka in ODIs and now a series defeat to New Zealand in Tests at home would not do any good. It remains to be seen how he will elevate the team going forward.
