Guff with third seed will face or in world no. 1 and reigning champion Aryna Sabalenka or Sixth Seed Compatible Jessica Pegula in tomorrow’s final.

21-year-old Gauff has not fallen on a road in her first final since she defeated Sabalenka 6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-4 to win her French championship Open in June.

Final Gauff’s third final WTA 1000 of the year while she retaliated from her 6-4, 6-2 loss to Paolini in the final of Rome last May.

In a match that presented 12 combined service breaks and seven double mistakes from Gauff, the Delray beach Baseliner relied on her mental strength, speed around the court and some time shocks to prevail.

Following 2-3 in the second set, Gauff repeated four consecutive matches to defeat Paolin for the first time since 2023 Cincinnati Open and their head series level in 3-3.
