Tyson Fury looked like the bearded fictional character Fagin from the 1968 Oliver Twist movie during today’s final press conference for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk this Saturday. He was the spitting image of Fagin.
Cranky and Snarling: Fury’s Mood
Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) did not look healthy with his appearance and came across as grumpy, snarky and mean during his face-to-face trash talk with unified heavyweight champion Usyk (22-0 , 14 KOs).
Usyk will probably need a knockout to win because Turki Alalshikh has already told the media he wants Fury to win so there will be a trilogy. I wonder what Usyk thinks about it? It is in Usyk’s best interest if he loses Saturday’s fight because he will make more money. It would have been better if Turki had kept quiet about wanting Fury to win because he is the money man.
Anthony Joshua will not fight him after Oleksandr’s treatment of him in their two fights. The only guy Usyk can fight to make big dough is Fury. Usyk does not want to lose, but it pays financially if he is beaten on Saturday.
Fury’s hellish return
“All the talk is done. I’m here to hurt him and put on a good show,” said Tyson Fury iFL TV after today’s final press conference in Riyadh for his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. “Not much. A lot of s***. Nothing really matters until you’re there on the night,” Fury said when asked what was said during his face-off with Usyk today.
Fury looks hellish as he bounces back from his loss to Usyk last May, and he doesn’t look in good enough shape to push a fast pace to win. He is not going to fight victoriously like he did last time, like a big bird resting on the ropes and eating shots from Usyk. He needs to stay in the center of the ring and fight, but he doesn’t like that he’s physically fit enough to do that.
