Gareth A. Davies does not see that Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury has ever won a heavyweight world title before retiring. Of the two, Joshua (28-4, 25 CO’s) has a better shot because of his strength, speed and willingness to keep fighting. At this point, AJ is the only ambition to try to win another world title.
Fury (36-2, 24 costs) retired shortly after his second defeat against Oleksandr Ulsyk on December 21. Many people consider it another of 36-year-old Gypsy King’s short-lived false retirement because he loves money too much, and he will be bored of sitting in his mansion.
Joshua’s next move
It is worrying that Joshua chose not to take the immediate re -broadcast with Daniel Dubois after his fifth round on September 21. The longer AJ waits, the less likely he is to avenge his loss to become a three -time heavyweight champion.
The promoter Eddie Hearn said Joshua sustained some injuries from which he wanted to recover, but it was a while ago, and now he seems to be waiting to see if anger will come out of the pension. It is not wise, because Fury can stay out of the ring for as long as he did after his fight against Vladimir Klitschko in 2015.
“If he wins a shooting with Daniel Dubois, he can win another world title again,” Gareth A. Davies said Seconds When asked if Anthony Joshua could ever win a heavyweight world title in his career. “It’s hard to call. I probably would say, no, as I don’t think Tyson Fury will again win another world title.
“I think we see a change of guard. Daniel Dubois and Moses Itauma are coming through. Joseph Parker has his last few occasions. I don’t see an appetite for these guys (Joshua and Fury) to feed two more or three fights. Maybe just one one more.
“He had a knockout to Daniel Dubois in September,” Gareth said of Joshua. “He set out that he wanted to fight Daniel Dubois and Tyson Fury in 2025. I would like to see him have a few more fights, but I think Eddie Hearn mentioned he was struggling with it. He struggles with a return.
The battle that should happen
Joshua has to fight a big fight to stay sharp while waiting to see if Fury returns to the ring in the summer. If he doesn’t, AJ should take the rematch with dubois if he still has the IBF title. Daniel defends Joseph Parker on February 22 in Riyadh on February 22.
“I don’t think he should walk away now. He has opportunities to be in tremendous battles. I think we should see Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua. It is a battle that completes the era. It would be a travest if the two men didn’t meet, ‘Davies says.
