Missing important catches at crucial moments will always cost you dearly – Mohammad Rizwan
Mohammad Rizwan’s Pakistan restricted Australia to 147/9 in the first innings thanks to Haris Rauf. Abbas Afridiand Sufiyan Mugeem’s brilliant bowling performances. Chasing the total, Usman Khan (52) and Irfan Khan (37) kept Pakistan in the game but eventually lost the match by 13 runs.

“The bowlers batted really well, but if you concede important wickets at important times, it will always cost you. Australia in Australia is not an easy team. If you give them chances like that and you have to get 16 wickets (for overs), it’s not going to be easy for any team.
Mohammad Rizwan further praised Haris Rauf for his brilliance in the ongoing white ball series against Australia. Muhammad Rizwan said:
“Harris likes Australia for the pace and bounce. I’m not sure about the changes for the third game. We’ll see what the situation calls for.”
“Every time I called on Johnson tonight, he got a stick” – Josh Inglis
Australia captain Josh English was a happy camper after celebrating the series win over the Green Men. He praised the batsmen as well as the bowlers and singled out Spencer Johnson for taking 5 wickets. He elaborated:
“We started really well. The lads at the top got us to the crease. It was tough in the middle as they adapted well to the conditions, hit the cutters and got in. We thought we were there and there. The bowlers went about it.
“Every time I called on Johnson tonight, he got a wicket. I was delighted for him. The way they played tonight was really good (two overs). They put their bowlers under pressure and got us flying. Gotta sleep – this captaincy is hard work.” .
