21-year-old Rune owns all the shots-his biggest span is to know when you use them, Medvedev said.

The former world No.1 Medvedev brought 20-year-old Arthur Fils 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7) in a pulsating quarter-finals today.

Meeting the media in the Indian Wells, Medvedev praised Rune as a man with numerous gears in his game.

“Talent is really, like, strong, brilliant, I don’t know how to say it, because he has, I would say, certainly any stroke you can have in tennis,” Medvedev told Rune. “Good slice, good drop, good volleyball. He can rotate, he can play flat, he can serve well, he can kick well. I feel like there are every stroke.

“I wonder even if you probably sometimes bother him because when you have like a lot of wings, it can even be tricky.”

The Medvedev VS Rune semifinal is a quarter-finals of the Wells Indian 2024, which Medvedev won 7-5, 6-4. Medvedev’s latest title came to Rome of 2023, where he Eded Rune 7-5, 7-5 in the finals.

“I think we all see him. He probably knows that sometimes he is not stable in starting shifts, but when he is like deep there, he is a fierce player to defeat,” Medvedev said. “So I’m looking forward to a hard match. I have to play well. I’m doing it now. I’m looking forward.”
