The success of Palm Springs is a couple’s prelude reunited for mixed doubles of Open US, Fritz said.
The BNP PARIBAS Open media meeting today, Fritz said Rybakina is an ideal partner – and hopes they can run back to the US Open.
“I thought she played brilliantly last night. She did everything I would do, I think, everything I could ask for a double mixed partner,” Fritz told the media in Indian Wells. “I think it’s a good fit. Yes, I asked her to play because I was looking for a mixed partner with the US, and she said she wants.
“She just has to check, I think, with her team and everything. Hopefully she is cleared.”
If this happens, former Wimbledon Rybakina winner and US Open Fritz finalist would be the second high-profile pairing already publicly engaging in us open doubles.

Tsitsias said he and Badosa plan to play mixed Open doubles of 2025.
“We are planning to play. She is the double -mixed partner I would always play with,” Tsitsias told Dubai last month. “I have no other option there or any other female player I would like to play doubled with her.
“She’s always under my consideration and always someone I would like to share the court.”
