Fred couples say he started it in the basement.
Then he transferred it to the range.
Hope, however, is that an act he “never really thought” gives in Georgia. Augusta National AND MasterAfter all, it’s where everything started.
Was in last year’s event when Couples said He was hurting. He would shoot at 80 and 76 rounds, though it was the way in which he collected the numbers that concerned him the most.
“My back was shot,” the 1992 masters said at the time.
“I have more items just to play. The longer the club. I am fine. I had no speed. I was driving that 260 (yards). But most of them were going straight. It was fun. If I had more forests, frankly, I could have shot 75 but I couldn’t know. 11-year-old with 140 years.
It was not ideal. But it was a year ago, and he has gone to work at the time since. While he did not use an 11-tree, he is proudly added some lids to his bagA collection of lighter metals and hybrids to hit. Then it came last week. He opened with a 67 in the PGA Tour Champions’ Haag Classic. In the second round, the 65-year-old best his age with a stroke, and he was a co-leader. As he ended up for the eight, there was hope.
The plasters think he knows at least one reason for him. Back to the basement.
There, he is hitting-and the last 20 cannons are full. “Everyone does strange things,” he said last week. But she clicked. He took the movement in the range. He gripped with him. If he had not felt a little sick last week, couples said he would have done it after the round.
The opinion is that he will have a club less in approach within two weeks to Augusta. Last year, he said, he “hit many 200-Oborre shots.”
“I’m playing well and I’m trying to do some things in my game that I never really thought about,” couples said Thursday ahead of this week’s PGA Tour event. “One of them would be trying to swing physically as much as I can with my driver. I also said that last week.
“Because when I go to Augusta, I can’t – I have to pick up six or eight or 10 yards. So I’m trying to do it now, and if I feel good when I finish, I’ll come and hit 20 drivers, really swing tightly. And I brought it well last week.”
A strong week of masters would be welcome, of course. Like former champion, couples can play under one exception of life, but there are boundaries. Recently, in fact, through an interview with the stutsman’s doug of GolfThe couples found that he had a call with the official of the main tournament of Steve Ethun masters.
“I told Steve two things: first, that I don’t want to embarrass myself. And that I will not surely embarrass Augusta National,” couples said Golf.
“Steve goes,” we already know that. We want you to keep playing. “
“I can’t tell you how much my blood pressure was reduced.”
This was evident when couples said he called George Downing, who had been in the masters of 2024, shortly after talking to Ethun.
“George could hear him in my voice,” couples said.
“He goes, ‘Did you get the lottery?’
“I said,“ No, George. I have to continue playing masters. “”
