The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in five games to win the eighth World Series in franchise history.
With all the star power on the Dodgers roster, only one player can win the World Series Most Valuable Player award.
Freddie Freeman was named World Series MVP after he hit four home runs in five games in the series.
Shohei Ohtani was seen with his dog, Deco, at the World Series parade in Los Angeles after the Dodgers’ victory.
According to “X” by MLB, Freeman added a new pet after the World Series victory when he adopted a cat and named it a champion.

Freeman had an incredible performance in the World Series as he had six hits in 20 at-bats with four home runs, one triple, 12 RBI, five runs scored and a 1.364 OPS.
This performance earned him the World Series MVP award, and he followed up the series victory by adopting a cat and naming it Champ.
Freeman picked a fitting name for his new furry friend, and he’ll join Ohtani’s dog Deco as popular Dodgers pets.
In the postseason run, Freeman batted .250 in 13 games with four home runs, 13 RBIs and an .810 OPS.
Freeman missed a few games during the playoffs with an ankle injury, but that didn’t stop him from putting the team on his back in the World Series.
Although the Dodgers have eight championships in franchise history, they have never won back-to-back titles.
