Promoter Frank Warren says he is open to matching Moses Itauma against heavyweight contender Martin Bakole. He mentions that he spoke to Bakole’s coach, Billy Nelson, and he said he wanted to wait until the ‘end of the year’ before fighting the fight with the unbeaten Itauma (11-0, 9 COs).
Bakole’s persistent weight issues
Bakole (21-2-1, 16 COs) must lose weight because he looked roughly out of the shape for his last two fights against Efe Ajagba and Joseph Parker. He weighed 310 pounds for the Parker collision, which he lost by a second round last February, and 299 for his previous fight against Ajagba on May 3 in Riyadh.
The battle recorded a ten-round draw, but many boxing fans felt that Ajagba deserved victory. Bakole’s weight has been a problem since his best win over Jared Anderson on August 3 last year on Turki Alalshikh’s map in Los Angeles. His previous two fights against Parker and Ajagba were on Turki’s cards.
Some wonder if the money that Bakole received for his fights on the Riyadh season cards has led him to overeat. He seems to be practicing hard for the Ajagba fight, but still he dropped 11 pounds of the 310 he weighed in his previous fight.
If Bakole was in the middle of the 280s while weighing against Jared Anderson, he might be too much for Itauma to handle. The 6’2 ″ Moses is a basic Slugger that uploads everything he throws. He is not fast or smart as Parker. If the 6’6 ″ bakole is in an excellent form, he can steam itauma and expose him, showing that it was all Smoking and mirrors with him from the beginning. That’s what I suspect. He would have already been linked to the world -class opposition if he was real. The British are sold to him, and if he does not ask why he does not match a high level opposition.
We initially saw Itauma’s brother, Karol itaumaLooks wonderful and beats everyone out. But when he acted against veteran Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna, he was wiped out. That defeat is no longer talking about so much. It would not be a shock if bakingols do the same to Moses.
Itauma will fight at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland, this Saturday, May 24, for few well-known Mike Balogun (21-1, 16 COs). The battle will be on the bottom map of Josh Taylor against Ekow Essuman, Live on dazn.
Itauma’s world title road
“He’s in action again, fighting against Mike Balogun from the states. He needs this battle and keeps the ball rolling and keeping himself running, ‘said promoter Frank Warren Talksport Boxing About heavyweight Moses Itauma. “When he comes through this, I expect him to be in a big fight, and I expect him to fight for a world title soon.”
Hopefully Itauma will be connected to a talented opponent before fighting for a world title. His opposition was horrible his entire career, which made it impossible to know if he was good. He is linked just like his brother, Karol, was before he was exposed as a falsehood. Moses is perhaps also a false.
Itauma’s last four opponents
– Demsey McKean: come from a knockout loss and a long discharge
-Mariusz Wach: 45-year-old
– Ilja Mezencev: Who is this person?
– Dan Garber: No words
“Yes, I told him, I would have it in a heartbeat. Billy Nelson sent me a text message and said they wanted to wait and do it at the end of this year, ‘Warren says of Itauma who is possibly against Martin Bakole’s heavyweight contender against the heavyweight contender.
