Francesco Bagnaia says his relationship with Marc Marquez at Ducati has been ‘excellent’.

During the recent appearance on the supernova Podcast, Bagnaya He was asked about his relationship with other riders on the MotoGP grid.

The two-time world champion offered an insight into the relationship he shares with Marquez and began by highlighting that you can’t be friends with everyone in the paddock.

He said: “So we’re not all friends. Of course, you like some knights more than others, but on the whole I get along well with everybody.”

“I’m not saying I’m friends with everyone, but I get along well with everyone, and I haven’t had any major problems before.

“Obviously, when you put a driver like Marc Marquez in the pit there are two options: either you start arguing immediately, or you can get along.

“I have to say he had a really calm approach, he understood the dynamics of the team.

“The priority is trying to maintain a comfortable environment in the dugout without causing problems or arguments, and let’s just say we definitely got to know each other this year, and the relationship has been great.”

Marc Marquez has been an unlikely ally for Francesco Bagnaia during his turbulent tenure.
