It has been a toilet season for Southampton. They made a bad start to the Premier League life and this caused Russell Martin to be sacked in December. Ivan Juric was designated as a replacement and did not do much better, and now he has followed the same to lose his job.
There are still seven Premier League games until Southampton’s return to the championship is official and the new manager will be commissioned to finish the miserable campaign with a little restored pride, which would be marked at least two points to avoid turning to the worst side of the Premier League in terms of total points: Derby currently has this record with 11 points in the 2007/08 season.
English managers emerge as favorites for Southampton Job

According to Birmingham WorldThe English managers lead the way to become the following Southampton manager, who want their new main coach to experience England, while playing a high-intensity football style.
At this stage, the former director of Nottingham Forest and Leicester City, Steve Cooper, is considered the favorite to land the Southampton Post, but follows him near Sean Dyche, Gary O’Neil and Steven Gerard. The four are currently out of work, so their arrival could be rushed by the club’s decision.
Whoever is named by Southampton will be commissioned to secure an immediate return to the Premier League, which will be easier to say than to do it in the next season’s championship, especially because they are likely to be unable to call Tyler Dbling, which has been strongly related to Tottenham tastes.
