Facundo Bagnis has entered a voluntary temporary suspension under the Tennis Anti-Doping Program.
Former world number 55 Bagnis gave a taste of the competition while competing in the US Open qualifying event in New York City on August 18, 2025.

The sample A Bagnis provided contained hydrochlorothiazide, which is prohibited under the TADP, in the category of diuretics and masking agents, The International Tennis Integrity Agency announced today.
Here is ITIA’s statement on the Bagnis case:
Hydrochlorothiazide is a specified substance and Bagnis did not have a valid TUE for the substance. While specified substances do not have a mandatory interim suspension, Bagnis elected to enter voluntary interim suspension on October 18, 2025. Time served under the interim suspension will be credited against any future sanctions.
During his provisional suspension, Bagnis is prohibited from playing, training or participating in any tennis event authorized or sanctioned by ITIA members (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.
