The Premier League will “go after” Leicester City after a major turnaround in their PSR case, according to Keith Wyness.
The Foxes were charged with breaching the PSR during the 2022/23 campaign, but appealed the punishment on the grounds that they were no longer a Premier League club when they filed their accounts on 30 June 2023.
An independent commission initially rejected that claim, but Leicester have since done so confirmed that his appeal was successful.
However, Leicester still seem to be walking a fine line when it comes to the rules of profit and sustainability.
Premier League ‘pulling for’ Leicester City over PSR
According to former Everton chief executive Wyness, who now runs a football consultancy group that advises elite clubs, the Premier League will be watching Leicester very closely and will not hesitate to attack them if necessary.
“The Premier League will try them now,” Wyness told Football Insider. “They will be looking into everything.
“Leicester will be pretty close to the line in terms of losses over three years.
“I don’t know the full facts in terms of what has been booked with his transfer fees, but we know they will be very, very close.
