Miami Open is setting a welcome mat of wild cards for two former famous champions.
Tournament champion 2023 Petra Kvitova and 2018 and Floridian champion Stephen Sloane Running the 2025 Miami Open Women’s Main Women’s Women’s Miami’s Miami, Tournament announced today.

Two -time Wimbledon Kvitova winner and US Open Stephens 2017 champion are joined by Ajla Tomljanovic, Tyra Grant, Alexandra Eala, Victoria Lill AND Sayaka wasii In getting wild cards to join the women’s field.
By men’s side, 19-year-old left Tienwho has two wins this season against the top 5 opponents, joins Christopher Eubanks, Eliot Spizzirri, Federico China AND Wu yibing.
Qualifier Tien shocked the former world no. 1 Daniil Medvedev In Australian Open in January then supported that important winning win no. 2 Alexander Zverev to Acapulco last week.
Miami Open will be Kvitova’s third tournament since the birth of a son, Petr, seven months ago. Kvitova owns 31 titles in her career and will make her 14th appearance in Miami.
In her 13th appearance in Miami, a 33-year-old at that time Kvitova won the winner of Wimbledon Elena Rybakina 7-6 (14), 6-2, in the 2023 final to become the second oldest women’s champion in the post-tournament history Serena Williamswho was 33 years old when she raised the title trophy in 2015.

“I think this is the best feeling you can have, winning a final as I did today,” Kvitova said. “That’s mostly, its winning feeling.”
33-year-old kvitova joined Serena Williams and Chrissie Evert Like the only women competing with Miami’s final after celebrating her 33rd birthday. Among active women, only Venus Williams (49), who recently rejected an Indian Wells wild cardboard but has not yet been officially retired, owns more tournaments than Kvitova, who set up its record in the final at 30-11.
The remaining WTA Wild Wild cards are given to teens.
Eala, a 19-year-old from the Philippines, was the new Junior winner of 2022 and previously won a pair of double titles at Junior Grand Slam Events.
Lundard, 18, is a Canadian who has already claimed seven professional titles after reaching no. 6 as a young man.
Grant, an American who turns 17 years old next week, is ranked as high as the new number 2 in the world and has won three double double titles in the Grand Slam Events.
Finally, Ishii, a 19-year-old Japanese, previously held in number 5 in the small ranking.
Tien has reached the quarter -finals in two of his last five events in the tournament, along with a 16th round run in Australian Open. A twice champion of the Hard 18s court, he won seven professional titles during the 2024 season.
