Greetings friends and welcome to this publication of Rogers Report! I have been in place in Fm championship All week, and it’s different from any professional golf tournament I’ve ever covered. Of course, the event gets some extra points in my book because it’s a home game, but there are so many things that happen all week they do Fm championship one by one type.
FM Championship Tuesday
On Tuesday, I headed to the Title Performance Center to participate in an afternoon at the LPGA leadership academy, where 40 girls from all over the country traveled to the Manchester Lane title facility to work on their golf skills and personal development over three days.
The women who run the Academy were so, so passionate about helping attendees build confidence and a stronger sense of themselves, and it worked. Teens who started the program while foreigners cheered each other while sailing through three clinical stations abroad. After lunch, Megan Khang joined a panel to discuss her leadership style, LPGA Tour’s life and more.
After a beautiful afternoon at the Leadership Academy, I headed to Gillette Stadium for the pro-am pairings party. The good ones arrived and photographed from the field before meeting their partners for pro-AM. Then we all climbed up to mix and listen to the LPGA Kraig Kessler commissioner, CEO of FM Malcolm Roberts and the governor of Massachusetts Maura Healey speak.
This was my first return week to a tournament since the open championship last month, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to get back to things. LPGA Leadership Academy reminded me that golf is about much more than just one outcome, and being in Gillette Stadium with The best golfists In the world was a dream come true for this New Engander.
A conversation with LPGA Craig Kessler commissioner
On Thursday, I moderated a panel with the LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler. He explained that although this is only the second year of Fm The championship, the players surrounded him in their calendar as an event “can’t miss”. He emphasized the fact that this tournament has one of the most competitive bags in the tournament, a lost stipend, hotel loans and aircraft for players, a Recovery room at the Player Hotel, set up in the country, as well as dinners focused on players on Thursday and Friday evening. For the good, all these things make a big difference, and you can show how happy everyone is to be there.
Not only are the players excited to be at TPC Boston, but the locals barely want to embrace this open -winged tours. Hundreds of colleagues of FM volunteers throughout the week, and fans of all ages have been out on the course every day to see the best players in the world removing it.
Golf Clinic for Lpga-Uga Girls
One of the most unique things about the FM championship is the range. There are two levels. At the upper level, you will find that the benefits being warmed. At the lowest level, you will see dozens of children playing games, making friends and receiving practical guidance from LPGA teaching professionals.
It is not every day that children alone by getting the game have the opportunity to share a range with the best, so that was too healthy to see. The clinic was a total hit, and getting some indicators in your game before you go out to see your favorite players for it, sounds like the perfect day.
