Floyd Schofield has been raised to #1 in the WBA’s new updated ranking on lightweight, making him the top contender for Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis’ title. Now it is only a matter of time before the tank will be forced to fight Schofield (19-0, 13 COs) or be stripped.
There is a lot of doubt about the Tank Davis who chooses to defend his WBA title against Schofield because he has been very strategic about the opponents he prefers to fight since picking up the belt in December 2019. Some fans predict that Gervonta will retire the WBA title or possibly be eliminated.
