When she was younger, Fatimah’s father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. briefly trained her until her grandmother let it be known that she didn’t want her to fight. Fatimah also found out that her father did not want her to box because there was not much money to be made in women’s boxing at the time.
Over the course of her life’s journey, Fatimah quickly learned that carrying the Mayweather name was both a gift and a curse. The status attached to the name was the gift, and people wanting to test her for being a Mayweather was the curse.
When she was forced to fight on the streets, Fatimah showed how her hands were just as gifted as her famous relatives. In the past, she used her manual talent to defend herself, and now, for the present and the future, Fatimah is ready to be paid for the use of her inherited assets.

While in Grand Rapids, Fatimah is trained by John Guyton. When she makes the commute to Vegas, she will train with her father, Floyd Mayweather Sr. and her uncle, Jeff Mayweather.
