FIGHTER FIGHTER: Eala shakes the keys in Miami
Tabilo with his left hand led 40-year-old Stan wawrinka 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 in a Frenetic Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Open today.
Wild Card Wawrinka was playing to set a second round against Grand Slam King in what would have been a match of their classic finals of Roland Garros 2015, which saw the Swiss superstar.
Following his 15th appearance in Monte-Carlo, Wawrinka said his fire to compete brightly, but also disappointment after “fierce, fierce” losses like this.
“The passion of sports (keeps me going),” Wawrrinka told the media in Monte-Carlo. “You know how an athlete, when you stop there is no possible return, especially when you grow old. I want to enjoy as much as possible.
“I like to play tennis. Playing tennis is a game I really like. Had the chance to play all the best tournaments in the world. I want to continue to push a little.
“I like the process. I like practice. I like to play those big tours like here, like today, those big matches, and that is what makes me go a bit.”
However, knowing the career watch is scoring, making today’s loss by hitting a little more.
“Disappointment grows for years because you know you are approaching to the end and you will be less likely to go further in the tournament if you lose,” Wawrrinka said. “So it’s more disappointing.”

At a time when many of his former rivals have moved to training, comments or entrepreneurial careers, Wawrinka said his goal is simple: “I want to play the best tournaments, play the best players. That’s all.”
Grand Slam’s triple champion has been as long as he runs to former opponents now training current opponents. Former World Nr. 1 Marath is back to Monte-Carlo this week working with Andrey Rublev And Wawrinka said he is looking forward to saying greeting.
“He was a great champion, a leading player,” Wawrinka told Safi. “I’ve been lucky to have been able to play against him. I think it’s good for the tennis he’s back. He’s an important character in tennis.”
Tabilo moves to confront Monte-Carlo’s part-time resident Djokovic in a match of their confrontation in Rome last May.
World no. 32 Tabilo amazed Djokovic 6-2, 6-3 in one of Djokovic’s most surprising career obstacles in Rome.
“Extraordinary Incred,” Tabilo said after the victory, his first against each player within the first 10, let alone a No.1 world with 24 key titles for his name. “I’m still trying to process everything.
“I was just trying to keep the nerves – it’s crazy. I can’t believe what it just happened.”
With his victory Tabilo became the first man from Chile to defeat a No.1 world since 2007, when Fernando Gonzalez defeated Roger Federer in the finished Masters Cup season.
