Pushed into the pair of the doubles, Leylah Fernandez fired a predetermined strike.
Even when she was acting from defensive positions, Fernandez found offensive magic.
In a great show, Fernandez press Anna Kalinskaya 6-1, 6-2 to flip in her fourth career championship at Mubadala Citi DC Final Today.
The 22-year-old Fernandez made the story as the first Canadian to rule Washington, DC. Releasing a 69-minute blow, Fernandez went up to the biggest title of her career-and the first since won 2023 Hong Kong.

Former world no. 13 Fernandez ended a spectacular week that she saw her knocking the talent Aussie Maya, planted and the 2024 open US finalist Jessica Pegula, WTA Double New No. 1 and Home Taylor Townsend and 2022 Wimbledon Elena Rybakina’s sample in a trip -soluble test at the height of DC Townsend.
Fernandez posted the first four 50 wins this week in a triumph of stirring that puts it back into the first 25 places in no. 24 in LIVE ranking.
Nr. 48 Kalinskaya involved US Open Champion Emma Raducanu yesterday, denying DC fans the perspective of a final Open 2021 match.
Russian, who had not submitted a group along the way to the final, seemed overloaded playing for the title of her daughters today.
“I want to wish Leylalah, an amazing fighter this week,” Kalinskaya said. “You really deserve it. We’ll see soon soon, maybe we’ll play each other next week you never know.”
Although Kalinskaya’s second service is usually a bold shot, Fernandez won 10 of 12 points played in the second Russian service and converted four out of six resting points today.

Hitting a winner of the back of the return below the line, Fernandez sealed her fourth break of the match for a second lead.
Kalinskaya made a short push growing in love-30 in the next match, but Fernandez fired four points. Lighting on a service winner below T, Fernandez threw a tight handful of her father into the support box stretching 6-1, 5-1 after just 61 minutes of play.
At its third point of the championship, Fernandez closed to the 24th incapable error of Kalinskaya.
