Fermin Aldeguer is set for a personal test ahead of his return to Brazil after eight weeks out with femur surgery.

Aldeguer fractured the diaphysis in his left femur while training at the Aspar circuit in early January and crashed in a private test set for Ducati ace Marc Marquez’s return from injury. Marquez had not ridden a bike since last October, so he prepared the test.

He replaced Ducati test rider Piro Aldeguerre at Gresini for the Thailand GP, but finished P21 in the final Sprint Race and then P19 and finally in the Grand Prix in Buriram. Pirro took the lead in the sprint at the finish line with 27.892s, and 63.598s in the main event.
