This week is the final stop of the PGA Tour’s Fall Series, where a group of hopefuls duke it out at the RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club in St. Louis. Simons, Ga.
The key here is to break into the top 100 in the FedEx Cup rankings, which secures a PGA Tour card for 2026. Players 101 through 150 in the rankings after this week receive conditional status but are completely barred from the Korn Ferry Tour.
Basically, there is still a lot to play for.
“There’s a lot of young guys probably in this field that you’ve never heard of that could easily go out and win this tournament this week,” Harris English said Wednesday. “The depth of this tournament is unlike any other. It’s just going to get harder and harder to compete here and keep your card. It makes me try and drive. We’ve got a lot of young guys moving up at Sea Island that keep me in check so I don’t look at these guys coming to take my job, but it drives me to play better and better here. In a few months, you’re going to be playing the best tournaments.
