The WBO lights of Welterweight Champion Theofimo Lopez are confident that he will do his part by Arnold Barboza jr. In their tournament battle on the May 2 of Fatal Fury card to defeat in 18 days, Live on dazn PPV on Times Square in New York.
Theofimo (21-1, 13 costs) says he doesn’t care who wins the other two battles on the 2nd map of May 2, because he is just focused on his difficult attack against his WBO-Velvis Barboza Jr. (32-0, 11 COs) by getting.
Barboza jr. Is going to be a problem for thee, because he looked good recently and beat Jack Catterall and Jose Ramirez in back-to-back fighting to move his way to his compulsory position. He fights at a higher level than Lopez and looks spiritually stronger.

Saudi plans
“Everyone has to do their job, and everyone has to win. Best of the best will fight. It’s like a tournament and we’ll see each other. The best fights best; who the last man stands by the beginning of next year, ‘Theofimo Lopez said Ring magazine about him fighting against Ryan Garcia or Devin Haney.
Theofimo failed to mention that Ryan and Devin should win their respective fights on May 2 for them to meet in the October rematch who the Saudi planned for them. If one or both lose on May 2, their re -broadcast for October will be in smoke. They can still fight at a later time, but it may not be with the financing of the Saudi.
“I don’t care. As long as I’m there next year, that’s all that’s important to me, ‘Lopez said when asked who he prefers to fight between Ryan and Haney in 2026. “They’re moving up to 147. I’m still at 140. So, they’ll start at least a little in the Welterweight section.”
Haney and Kingry already have a lead over Lopez, as they have large amounts of weight for their fighting at 140. Ryan looked like a slender junior middleweight during his last battle against Haney on April 20 last year. It will be interesting to see how well he holds as a Teo with the winner or loser of their October rematch. Both are difficult in their way.

Lopez may fall apart long before he reached 147 in 2026 with his 2nd clash against Barboza Jr. He will fight early next year, even if he was beaten, but it would be in the loser of the loser against Garcia or Haney. The one of the two beat, Lopez would face, with their careers basically on the right track.
