The New York Yankees came close to winning the 28th World Series in franchise history, but ended up losing to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games.
Although they fell short of the title, the Yankees appeared in their first World Series since 2009.
As they look to the 2025 season, there may be some questions about who will lead the team.
However, the Yankees recently announced that Aaron Boone will be back next season, via the YES Network.

These fans disagree with the decision to bring Boone back.
He has been managing the Yankees since 2018, and 2024 was the first year he led his team to the AL title.
The Yankees have yet to win a World Series under Boone as manager, and they hadn’t even made it to one before this season.
With the Yankees’ organization and fan base accustomed to championships, the extended stretch of not winning a World Series seems to be wearing on the fans.
Every year the roster seems to have more than enough talent to win a title, so fans can look for someone to blame, and that person seems to be Boone.
With Juan Soto a free agent this offseason, the Yankees’ lineup could look very different in 2025 than it did in 2024.
Now that Boone will be back, it looks like he’ll have to earn the fan’s trust as he tries to get the Yankees back to the World Series.
