The biggest shakeup in Major League Baseball this offseason came when New York Yankees top free agent Juan Soto signed with the New York Mets.
Soto signed a 15-year, $765 million deal that will keep him in New York State but move from the American League to the National League.
In Soto’s first year with the Yankees in 2024, he led the team to a playoff appearance that resulted in a World Series loss.
After signing with the Mets, Soto made some shocking comments about his former teammates.
According to ‘X’ of Yankees Videos, Soto has not spoken to any of his Yankees teammates since the World Series.

MLB fans expressed their reaction to Soto’s statement about not talking to former teammates after the playoffs.
Too bad for Soto because we know at least Judge has tried to contact him since. Looks like the Mets are getting a real character in their clubhouse, I hope he hates every moment of it for the next 15 years.

I think it’s out of business…

They probably don’t even want to talk to him

MLB fans apparently took offense to Soto’s statement, and they took to social media to share their thoughts.
The Mets will now have a superstar player who is an elite offensive weapon on their team for the next 15 years, but fans seem to be questioning Soto’s character.
In Soto’s first year with the Yankees in 2024, he batted .288 with 41 home runs, 109 RBI and a .989 OPS.
While the numbers are great for Soto, MLB fans are not responding positively to his comments.
Reactions to the Soto deal and these particular comments will vary, but one thing is for sure, when the Yankees and Mets meet in 2025, it will be must-see TV.
