A brutal end to a brilliant innings
Despite the brilliance of his knock, Lee’s innings came to a premature halt due to a strange dismissal. Standing at the non-striker’s end in the 15th over, a deflection from the bowler Jemma Barsby‘s hand, combined with the quick response of the field team, led to Lee’s unsuccessful escape. He had reached 103 runs off 59 balls when he was dismissed. Although his exit style was unsuccessful, it did little to diminish the impact of his knocks as his aggressive batting and consistency had already made a lasting impression on the game.

It seems that an unbeaten 150 in her previous game wasn’t enough for Lizelle Lee as she hit another century today, only to be stopped by one run in the 15th over… Otherwise, another 150 looked good. reach… pic.twitter.com/7CXw4UzW0d

After scoring a ridiculous unbeaten 253 from your previous 134 balls, this is an equally ridiculous way to go out.
Lizelle Lee escaped a stumping supported at the non-striker’s end on 103 for Hobart. His 150no vs Scorchers comes after. #WBBL10

Any chance @CricketAus Can Lizelle naturalise Lee next week and force her to open the batting against India? He sees them as beach balls. @WBBL #WBBL10

Lizelle Lee faced the threat of a 3-drop or miss from poor Mushangwe. You don’t want to drop any batter, but Lee will definitely be near the top of the batters you REALLY don’t want to drop. #WBBL10
