Ryan Garcia feels he has the most difficult match on the fatal Fury card of the three A-side fighters on May 2 at Times Square in New York. Garcia (24-1, 20 foods) stares the powerful but deeply flawed Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero in the main event on it Dazn ppv map.

The other two fighters on the A-side, Devin Haney and Theofimo Lopez, stand in front of Jose Ramirez and Arnold Barboza in fighting that they can win by surpassing their opponents. Ryan says Haney (31-0, 15 COs) and WBO lights welterweight champion Theofimo (21-1, 13 COs) have to worry less about the threat of showing their lights.
Ramirez’s Hook Chance
Haney’s poor punch resistance does hold a moderate risk of being stopped because former WBC and WBO 140-pound champion Ramirez (29-2, 18 COs) do have a little power. However, his knockouts come from the landing of an accumulation of shots, and he probably won’t be able to do it against Haney because of his movement.
Devin also does a lot of snack and hold. If Ramirez does his training camp focus on throwing short brackets like Ryan, he can knock Haney out, because he will catch him when he comes in.
A large part of Haney’s game is finishing. It has become a staple of his style since his fight with Jorge Linares in 2021, and he cannot return to the way he used to fight without repeatedly striking. So, if Ramirez practices to throw short hooks, he has a good chance to finish what Garcia started.
