“The biggest unknown in this regard is Yamaha and the V4. They’ve been working all winter, they’ve developed an 850cc engine, and the bike will be the same.

But for now, we don’t even know how 1000cc works, imagine the 850cc, they are the most selling bikes now; We’ll see who gets there.

“Knowing how Yamaha works, they will assemble a strong team. At least on paper, the result will be another story. We will see. They will have a competitive team, that’s for sure.”

Ramon Forcada’s concept could go either way – Jorge Martin may regret joining Yamaha.

Of course, it could work either way, as Forcada’s concept could be linked to Quattararo leaving Yamaha. Honda may feel it made the right choice to join if the V4 isn’t competitive.

Next, Riders will regret joining the Iwata outfit in 2027. George Martin is set to replace Quatararo at Yamaha. After deciding to cut ties with Aprilia.

As Forcada notes, riders may regret their decision for 2027, and Martin may have that in mind if he finds the V4 isn’t a strong bike in 2026.

Of course, the 850 cc engine presents a new challenge to all drivers and manufacturers and nothing is given for 2027. But if Yamaha still can’t produce a competitive bike with a V4 and 850cc bike, Martin might have second thoughts.
