Exeter City to benefit from the promotion of Leeds United to the Premier League thanks to a clause in the Ethan Ampadu contract.

AMPADU was part of the youth configuration of the city of Exeter before it ended up joining Chelsea in the summer of 2017. Despite its enormous and impressive loan away from the London club, things did not work at Stamford Bridge. He ended up separating with them to join -Leeds United in the summer of 2023.
Ethan Ampadu has done well for Leeds
The 24 -year -old has settled as a key figure in the team. He has been given the captain’s arm at the back of his impressive leadership performances and skills. While preferred to play as a defensive midfielder, AMPADU has participated as a full account, as well as a Leeds United center for the last two seasons.
He could have lost strength this season due to injury, but he has certainly played his role in his dominant career in the championship. With the club now for a return, Exeter will receive a decent share thanks to the clause they included in the AMPADU agreement when he left for Chelsea in 2017.
Although it is not yet known if the payment will come from Leeds United or Chelsea, Gorma made it clear that performance/promotion -related complements will only stop if it ends up reaching a free transfer in the future
