Tiger Woods has a whole catalog of unforgettable shooting that even the best professional players have tried (and failed) to recreate.
Has the 2005 masters chip. Chip in the 2012 memorial with long water. The point “better than most” in TPC Sawgrass. The list goes on.
However, a memorable Woods shot left the former DP World Tournament player, Mike Lorenzo-Midered when he tried to withdraw.
Purpose? The absurd bunker of Woods’ Absurd was shot during the 2019 WGC-Mexico Championship at Club De Golf Chapultapec.

Lorenzo-Vera continued Podcast cut With Ben Coley and Sam Harrop and explained how his attempt to recreate the 2019 bunker’s blow, he was amazed at how Woods was able to withdraw it.
“Those guys can do things that even really good can not do it,” Lorenzo-Vera said. “I can give you an example. Do you know the goal in Mexico that Tiger hit around the tree out of the trap? One year after I went there and threw six balls. I looked at the shooting, and I couldn’t even reach within 40 meters (about 44 yards) of the green. Guy almost shooting with two clubs bending the ball more, yard! and it’s high!
“Why don’t we have diplomas in France? Because no one can do it!”
Woods got up ending up in a tie for 10 that week in Mexico. But two months later, he sat again in Augusta National, winning his fifth green jacket and the 15th major championship.
As for Lorenzo, last week he announced that he would withdraw from professional golf after making a recent appearance in European Omega masters in August.
The 40-year-old Frenchman has only made four beginnings on the DP World Civil Tournament since the championship Barracuda last July. He decided to withdraw from golf in last August due to panic attacks and crippled anxiety. Lorenzo-Vera returned to the course in January in Dubai Desert Classic, ending in a tie for 31.
But Lorenzo-Vera has decided that after 20 years as a professional golf player, it’s time to hang the clubs.
His retirement announcement included heartfelt thanks to his family, friends, fans and those whose tracks he always wanted to follow, including man, whose iconic bunker he had no chance of recreating.
“And special thanks to four of my idols: Jose Maria Olazabal, Fred Couple, Davis Love III and, of course, boss, Tiger Woods,” wrote Lorenzo-Vera.
