Ducati are the MotoGP manufacturers with a metaphorical target on their back to defend their title heading into the 2025 season.
Although the factory outfit never won the rider’s championship, satellite team Pramac dominated George Martin’s feats with one of their bikes.

Ducati manager Luigi Dallegna explained that just because their bikes were good last year doesn’t mean they haven’t struggled to improve over the winter. They have lots of new parts to check out.
“We’ve made some new solutions and new developments on this bike. Talking about the test that starts in two weeks, there’s a lot of material to test,” he said.
“We have a new swing arm, new chassis, new fairing, completely new. We also have other elements that have been tweaked and explored.
“We have to practice and test all of these materials. We’re very strict about choosing materials that really work. That makes a difference.”
Who will be Ducati’s strongest MotoGP competitor in 2025?
Both KTM and Aprilia failed to score even half of the points managed by Ducati bikes in 2024, and the former’s position was only weakened over the winter due to financial issues.
Aprilia has to improve in promoting the champion, but not to the extent that they can beat their Italian rivals.

This means that a Ducati factory team or their satellite team will win both the team and rider championships at least this year.
Valentino Rossi believes Bagnaia will be champion in 2025. But there will be stiff competition from the likes of Marquez, Martin and possibly young star player Pedro Acosta.
