Chris Eubank Jr. dwarfed a smiling Conor Benn during their face-off at today’s final press conference for their rematch this Saturday, November 15, in London. Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) looked like he was trying to stay calm, but still got heated repeatedly as he went back and forth with Eubank Jr. (35-3, 25 KOs) went and discussed mundane things about rehydration and their hospital stay from their first fight last April.

Benn’s “Ruined You” push
“Look at you now. You’re not the same,” Benn told Eubank Jr.
This was part of Conor’s angle in portraying Eubank Jr. that he was physically ruined from their war earlier this year, on April 26, 2025. This is more wishful thinking on Benn’s part. Perhaps this is something he was instructed to say to sow seeds of doubt in Eubank Jr. seeding his mind and making him believe that he is not the same warrior.
If Eubank Jr. doubting himself, he could fight at less than 100%, and that would give the smaller, less talented Benn enough of an edge to possibly win a close decision. Without it, it’s Eubank Jr. who wins all the way because he is an all around superior fighter, technique wise, experience, output and ring intelligence.
“We were both there in the hospital. I was there for dehydration. You were there for the beating you took,” Eubank Jr. said.
Eubank Jr. and Benn will headline their 12-round replay at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on DAZN PPV. For the fans who have DAZN Ultimate, it’s free. If not, the price is $59.99 for US fans and £24.99.
To properly sell this rematch, Eubank Jr. had to and Benn is doing something crazy today to get the American fans to want to order it. Currently, it’s only the British crowd who rave about this game and see it as a great soapy drama.
The problem is that neither of these fighters have ever beaten any quality opponents in their careers, and they aren’t going anywhere. Benn has already tipped his hand and said he will target WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios next. Picking him tells you everything you need to know about Benn. What Eubank Jr. concerned, he says nothing, which leads some to believe that he is going to retire.
“This time it’s completely different. He’s laughing, smiling, knows the ringwalk, knows the locker room,” promoter Eddie Hearn said. Matchroom Boxing after today’s final press conference, discuss how Conor Benn has changed for his rematch with Chris Eubank Jr.
Hearn’s Master Plan
Hearn needs Benn to win the rematch on Saturday so he can prepare for the big money fights against the likes of Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez, Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.
A win for Conor on Saturday would temporarily make him a hot commodity, not because of his talent, but rather his name and popularity in the UK. He’ll be good for one good fight, possibly more if Hearn carefully matches him up against one of the weak welterweight champions like Mario Barrios and Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero.
“I love what I’m seeing from Conor Benn right now. It’s not going to be easy. If he can box on orders, mix that aggression and skill. I think he stops him on Saturday. I said before, I think this will be Chris Eubank Jr’s last fight because the people around him didn’t want him to continue,” says Hearn.
The problem with Hearn’s vision is that Benn is not a great boxer. So, for him to do it against Eubank Jr. on Saturday. to try to do would be foolish because he is not going to succeed using that tactic. Benn’s DNA is that of a pure 100% slugger. For him to tamper with that is foolish because he doesn’t have the technical skills that Eubank Jr. do not have He can’t win that type of fight.
“Don’t be surprised when it gets really tough in there on Saturday night and the people around him want to pull him out of the fight.
